DATEM’s project and initiative took home two (2) major awards at the Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2024, held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore.

DATEM won the Office Construction of the Year award for Makati Commerce Tower and Innovation in Sustainable Materials of the Year for its Green Materials Directory.

Excellence and innovation have been the guiding principles of the company in building exceptional projects that will impact the economy and surroundings.

Makati Commerce Tower underpins sustainability with its innovation, futureproofing, and wellness features. It includes touchless technology solutions to reduce common touchpoints, energy-saving features, and a unitized glass curtain wall façade insulated with a Low-E coating for improved thermal and acoustic properties.

The concrete used in the project has been carefully and efficiently identified and applied to ensure the sturdiness of the structure, the safety of the building occupants, and its environmental sustainability.

In 2023, Makati Commerce Tower was certified with the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) version 4: Building Design and Construction: Core and Shell Development Platinum certification for the Philippines from the US Green Building Council for its significant green building design, construction, and operation.

With its commitment to advocate green building, DATEM has initiated the Green Materials Directory (GMD).

The GMD has been created to provide ample information on responsibly produced and manufactured materials and products that will help obtain credits for green building and promote sustainability.

GMD also aims to encourage like-minded suppliers and contractors to continuously apply sustainable practices to their manufacturing processes and operations.

The winners in the inaugural awards represent credible players in the real estate and construction industries, exemplifying remarkable contributions in the industry and to their communities.

The Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2024 celebrate outstanding achievements in construction, architecture, and interior design across Asia, as well as recognition of innovation and sustainability in the industry.

A Quadruple A contractor accredited by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB), DATEM has been operating for 40 years, including a 100% success rate in achieving green building certifications.
