DATEM Incorporated is not just a construction company that built some of the landmark structures in the country. DATEM considers itself as a responsible corporate citizen deeply committed to the value of malasakit, taking upon itself to give back to the community, especially to the youth, through its annual medical missions and scholarship programs for the benefit of the children of its skilled workers.
In keeping with its tradition of creating shared value for the community, DATEM recently partnered with mega school Timoteo Paez Elementary School in Malibay, Pasay City, for its Brigada Eskwela initiative. This program, spearheaded by the Department of Education, aims to assemble citizen volunteers to repair and prepare classrooms in time for the opening of classes.
In a span of one week, DATEM was able to rehabilitate the school and perform the necessary repainting works and repairs to roof gutters and classroom ceilings. This maiden venture was made possible with the invaluable help from Boysen Paint and Union Trading, which provided materials, such as paints and gypsum boards.
Timoteo Paez Elementary School is one of the biggest schools in Pasay in terms of population, catering to almost 4,000 students yearly. With the success of this endeavor, DATEM is looking forward to more opportunities to help shape a better community for Filipinos.
