DATEM’s East Bay project team coordinates with Pakil LGU and has secured essential permits for compliance on local policies.
Manila Water tapped DATEM to construct the East Bay raw water intake that will facilitate sustainable water supply to the underserved communities in Rizal province.
To fulfill this mission, DATEM coordinates with key stakeholders and agencies for the project to be completed and operational as scheduled.
Currently, DATEM has secured permits with the barangay and municipality of Pakil in compliance for the safety of the construction manpower and residents living near the site.
“It is our imperative to consistently comply with Manila Water’s standards and the regulations implemented by the concerned government units to establish a safe and uninterrupted water supply, especially once the project is operational, and to protect communities and ecosystems on the site,” Infrastructure Division Head Raymond Tinio noted.
In this project, DATEM constructs the amenities of the raw water intake near the East Bay Water Treatment Plant in Barangay Kabulusan.
Construction is targeted to be completed in 2024, which will be followed by testing and process proving for the benefit of the towns in Rizal and Taguig City, Pasig City, and Pateros.
