Cost Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and familiarize with the contract and determine the In-Scope and Out-Scope of a project
  • Review the provisions of the contract documents and spearhead the quantity rehash of every work item for comparison to the provision of the Approved Bill of Quantity (rehash of quantity must be with the aid of a Quantity Surveyor or staff from Operations)
  • Review the duties and responsibilities of the contractor and owner/client as per contract agreement
  • Review construction bulletins
  • Prepare the budgetary cost of the project and ensure that the project is within the approved budgetary cost
  • Responsible for the cost control and monitoring of the project (cost/risk/profit analysis, cash flow, PRS, PO, labor cost, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Professional license
  • 1-3 year/s of work experience in the related field
  • General understanding of cost management, estimating, and change control
  • Able to work independently and/or with a team
