Engr. Mariano “Morris” Agoncillo has been named the 2023 Outstanding Professional of the Year in the field of civil engineering by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Agoncillo received the award on December 10. PRC gives the Outstanding Professional of the Year award as recognition to professionals for exemplifying competence, integrity, and valuable service in their respective fields, as recommended by their peers.
The award also commends the participation of the professionals in PRC as well as their notable contribution to advancing the profession and engagement in socio-civic activities.
Agoncillo served as DATEM President in August 2017 – December 2020. Agoncillo also led several reputable and multi-awarded green building projects, high-rise developments, residential projects, and destinations: ELJ Communications Center of ABS-CBN Corporation, Eton Cyberpod Centris 5 of Eton Properties Philippines Inc., Hatchasia Global Center of Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation, MDC 100 of Mercury Drug Corporation, Grand Hyatt Residences of Bonifacio Landmark Realty & Development, One Shangri-la Place (Towers 1 and 2) of Shang Properties Realty Inc., Venice Grand Canal Mall of Megaworld Corporation, and the LEED certified green building projects namely, Menarco Tower of Menarco Development Corporation, Unilab Corporate Center (Phases 1 and 2) of Unilab Laboratories Inc., and Arya Residences (Towers 1 and 2) of Arthaland Corporation.
